INGREDIENTS OF PANEER IN COCONUT GRAVY
- Paneer (cottage cheese)-500gm cut into cubes (1”)
- Coconut pieces-1cup
- Oil-2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds-2 tsp
- Peppers(crushed)- 15-20
- Red chilis dry-4-5 (according to your taste)
- Coriander powder-1 tbs
- Garam masala-1 tbs
- Sugar- ½ tbs (optional)
- Salt to taste
For Garnishing:
- Kasturi methi- 1tbs
- Fresh cream-1tbs
Preparation
Steps of Paneer in coconut gravy recipe:
- At first make a smooth paste of coconut, 4 dry chilis with few water and keep aside.
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a kadhai, add cumin seeds and dry chili .
- When the seeds crackle, add the prepared paste and fry on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Add Coconut paste,fry for 2min or raw smell disappeared.
- Add coriander powder and garam masala, mix well .
- Add 2cups ofwater,when water boiled add paneer and salt,pepper powder, sugar mix gently .cook for 7-8min on medium flame.
- Garnish with cream and kasturi methi.
Paneer in coconut gravy is ready to be served with hot parathas or roti or rice.
