Paneer in Coconut Gravy

A Delicious and creamy Paneer In Coconut Gravy goes well with Roti or chapatti, rice. Here Paneer is cooked in coconut paste and spices.

INGREDIENTS OF PANEER IN COCONUT GRAVY

  • Paneer (cottage cheese)-500gm cut into cubes (1”)
  • Coconut pieces-1cup
  • Oil-2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds-2 tsp
  • Peppers(crushed)- 15-20
  • Red chilis dry-4-5 (according to your taste)
  • Coriander powder-1 tbs
  • Garam masala-1 tbs
  • Sugar- ½ tbs (optional)
  • Salt to taste

For Garnishing:

  • Kasturi methi- 1tbs
  • Fresh cream-1tbs

Preparation

Steps of Paneer in coconut gravy recipe:

  1. At first make a smooth paste of coconut, 4 dry chilis with few water and keep aside.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a kadhai, add cumin seeds and dry chili .
  3. When the seeds crackle, add the prepared paste and fry on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.  44444880_314205982711529_5715552833235845120_n
  4. Add Coconut paste,fry for 2min or raw smell disappeared.
  5. Add coriander powder and garam masala, mix well .

  6. Add 2cups ofwater,when water boiled add paneer and salt,pepper powder, sugar mix gently .cook for 7-8min on medium flame.

     

  7. Garnish with cream and kasturi methi.
