INGREDIENTS OF RIDGE GOURD PAKODA
- Ridge gourd- 3
- Oil-for frying
- Besan/Gram flour-1cup
- Rice flour-1 tablespoon
- Turmeric powder -1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder-1 teaspoon
- Salt To taste

Preparation
Steps of Ridge gourd pakoda recipe:
- Clean the Ridge gourd and remove the outer layer. Cut into diagonally or round.
- In bowl, take cut pieces of ridge gourd and mix salt. Keep it aside for 10 mins. It helps to remove the water from ridge gourd.

- In a bowl, add gram flour, rice flour, salt, turmeric powder, chili powder and mix well. Now, add slices of ridge gourd and coat the mix properly (you can add 1/4 cup water to make the batter, but since ridge gourd releases water that’s why I did not add).
- Heat sufficient oil in a wide bottomed pan.
- Now, put besan coated Ridge gourd in the oil and deep fry till it’s golden brown from both sides.
- Serve the Ridge gourd pakoda as a side dish with rice or pakhala or serve as evening snacks with cup of tea.
