INGREDIENTS OF RAW BANANA PARATHA

For dough

  • Wheat flour-2cups
  • Oil or ghee -1tablespoon
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water as per requirement

For stuffing

  • Raw banana-2boiled
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil-as needed
  • Turmeric powder-1/2teaspoon
  • Chili powder- 1teaspoon
  • Garam masala-1teaspoon

Preparation

Steps of Raw banana paratha recipe:

  • To make the dough, take a bowl add flour,salt, oil and knead all the ingredients well into a soft dough by adding water little by little.
  • Add few oil,Cover and keep dough a side for about 10 minutes.
  • For boiling banana,cut the banana into 2 pieces. In a cooker take banana pieces,salt ,water and give 2 whistles.Dont over cook it.
  • Once done, release the pressure naturally, remove the skin and mash it into a fine paste.
  • In a bowl take mashed banana,chili powder, turmeric powder,garam masala, salt and mix well.
  • Divide the dough into large lemon size balls.
  • Flatten one dough and fill the stuffing and Bring the edges together and make them into balls.
  • Roll them into rotis.
  • Heat tawa. Put the paratha on the tawa and let it cook from both side until you find small brown spots.
  • Apply ghee on both the sides and cook for some more time.
