INGREDIENTS OF LAU SANTULA

  • Lau/bottle gourd-1small, chopped
  • Onion-1sliced
  • Green chili or dry chili-2
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil-1tea spoon
  • Mustard seeds-1/2teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds-1/2teaspoon
  • Milk – 1/2cup

Preparation

Steps of Lau santula recipe:

  • Peel and chop the bottle gourd/lau.
  • Heat the oil in a pressure cooker or kadhai,add the cumin seeds, mustard seeds.
  • When they crackle, add sliced onion,green/dry chili, saute for a minute over medium flame.
  • Add chopped Lau/bottle gourd,salt.
  • Mix well and close the lid.
  • Give 1-2whistle ,off the flame and wait for pressure release automatic.
  • When pressure released, open the lid stir properly.
  • On the flame and boil the Lau santula and put milk and stir continuously .
  • Your healthy Lau santula is ready to serve.
  • Serve in a serving bowl enjoy with rice or roti.
