INGREDIENTS OF SPINE GOURD FRITTERS
- Kankada- 4
- Oil-for frying
- Besan/Gram flour-1cup
- Turmeric powder haladigunda-1/2teaspoon
- Red chili powder/lanka gunda-1teaspoon
- Salt/luna to taste
- Water as required to paste

Preparation
Steps of kankada pakoda recipe:
- Clean the Spiny Gourd / Kankada and pat dry.

- Cut into equal thin round slices.

- In a bowl, add gram flour,salt,turmeric powder, chili powder , required amount of water mix properly and make a batter. The batter should not so thin Or so thick. Now add slices of Spiny gourd/Kankrol and mix properly.
- Heat sufficient oil in a wide bottomed pan.
- Now, put besan coated Spiny gourd in the oil and deep fry till it’s golden brown.
- Serve the kankada pakoda as a side dish with rice or pakhala or serve as evening snacks with cup of tea.
