Chuda ghasa

The word “Chuda” means poha and “ghasa” means Rubbing poha ,ghee ,sugar powder using both of your palms.    

Chuda ghasa is an authentic recipe of odisha, mostly we prepared during festival like ganesh puja, saraswati puja etc and also in breakfast.



Best pair of chuda ghasa  is with Dalma .

Today we will learn how to make Chuda ghasa with this easy recipe with step wise pictures.

INGREDIENTS OF CHUDA GHASA

  • Flattened Rice/chuda/poha-1 1/2cup
  • Ghee-5tablespoon
  • Sugar-3
  • Grated coconut-1/2cup
  • Black pepper powder-1table spoon
  • Cardamom powder-1teaspoon
  • Apple-1/2cup(chopped)

Preparation

Steps of Chuda ghasa recipe:

  • At first clean the chuda/poha and grind it into coarse powder.
  • Take a wide bowl put coarsly powdered poha add ghee.
  • Rub the poha,ghee between the both palm for 7-8.so that ghee melted properly and mix well with poha.
  • Then add powdered sugar,cardamom powder, black pepper powder.
  • Again rub it using palm for 7-8min Or toll it form crumbling texture.
  • Now put grated coconut,chopped apple.Mix well.
  • Perfect flavor full chuda ghasa is ready to offered as prasad on this occasion of Ganesh puja.

  1. you can use fruits like banana, grape, pomegranate.
