Today we will learn how to make badi aloo mula besar with this easy recipe with step wise pictures.

INGREDIENTS OF ALOO MULA BADI BESAR
- Potatoes /Aloo -2 (cut into leghth)
- Radish/Mula-2( cut into thick round)
- Sundried lentils /Badi-7-8
- Mustard Oil/sorisa tel-2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds/jeera-1/2 tsp
- Dry chili/sukhila lanka-2-3
- Green chili/kacha lanka-2 cut into slit
- Salt /luna to taste
- Red chili powder/lanka gunda-1 tsp
- Turmeric powder/haladi gunda-1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves-1string(optional)
- Dried mango/Ambula-2
For Pastes
- Mustard seeds-2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds-1 tbsp
- Red Chilli-2
- Garlic pods-10-15
Preparation
Steps of Aloo mula badi besar recipe:
- At first heat oil in a pan or kadhai and fry badi till golden brown and keep aside .
Fry badi - Next, prepare the mustard paste. Place all the ingredients listed under “for mustard paste” into a blender and grind to a fine but thick paste. Add as little water as possible in order to ensure that the paste is thick and not runny.
Mustard paste - Heat oil in the same pan and temper with cumin seeds,dry chili,green chili,curry leaves . Saute for a few seconds.
Temper with cumin seeds,dry chili,green chili,curry leaves - Then add mustard paste.fry for a minute or till raw smell disappear.
Add mustard paste Fry for a minute - Now add turmeric powder,chili powder,mix properly.
Add turmeric powder,chili powder - Add 2 cups of water stir,bring it to nice boil.
Add water - Now add vegetables,salt,stir well again and cook in medium flame.
Add vegetables,salt - When vegetables half cooked add dry mango,badi stir well cover and cook till done.
Add dry mango Badi - Turn off the flame and enjoy mouth watering besar with rice.
