Rasabali (ରସାବଳି ) is a Authentic sweet dish from Odisha. It is one of the Chapana bhoga of Jagannath temple.
Rasabali is offered to Baladev, and originated in the Baladev Temple of Kendrapara.
It consists of deep fried flattened reddish brown patties of chhena (cottage cheese) that are soaked in thickened, sweetened milk (rabri). Flattening the chhena into palm-sized patties is done in order to allow them to absorb the milk more readily.

Today we will learn how to make Rasabali with this easy recipe with step wise pictures.

INGREDIENTS OF RASABALI
- Paneer -500gm
- Milk-1lit
- Sugar-1/2 cup
- Maida(all purpose flour)-1 tsp
- Suji(semolina)-1 tsp
- Cardamom powder-1 tsp
- A pinch of baking powder
- Ghee/oil for frying
Preparation
Steps of Rasabali recipe:
1.Crumbled paneer properly.

2.In a bowl take paneer , 3 tbsp sugar, semolina, maida,baking powder, Use your lower palm, mash the dough for 7 – 8minutes and make a smooth dough.




3.Then make equal size balls from that.
4.Now using both palm take one of the ball press it gently and make a flat ball.
5.Heat ghee/oil in a kadai.
6.Fry the flat ball with a lower medium flame.

7.Now take another pan,boil1 liter milk and make it half in the quantity, then add sugar and cardamom powder and let it cook in lower flame for another 5 minutes.


8.Then add all fried flat ball in to it, cook for another 2 minutes. switch of the flame.

9.Keep it 1 hr rest so that fried paneer ball absorbs milk properly.
