Today we will learn how to make bitter gourd fry with this easy recipe with step wise pictures.

INGREDIENTS OF BITTER GOURD FRY

  • Bitter Gourd/Kalara -2cups (cut into thin discs)
  • Oil-2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds/jeera-1/2 tsp
  • Dry chili/sukhila lanka-2-3
  • Green chili/kacha lanka-2 cut into slit
  • Onion/piaja -1medium( chopped/sliced)
  • Garlic/rasuna-1 tsp(crushed)
  • Salt /luna to taste
  • Red chili powder/lanka gunda-1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder/haladi gunda-1/4 tsp

Preparation

Steps of Bitter gourd fry recipe:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and temper with cumin seeds,dry chili . Saute for a few seconds.

  2. Then add onion,green chili and garlic.Saute till light pink.

  3. Then add bitter gourd cut,fry it for sometime.

  4. Now add salt,turmeric powder,chili powder,mix properly.

  5. On low flame Fry it for 15-20 min or till the bitter gourd crispy.
