INGREDIENTS OF COCONUT HALWA
- Freshly grated coconut-1 cup
- Milk-1/2 Cup
- Sugar-¼ cup (Add more sugar if you prefer more sweet)
- Cardamom powder-1 tbs
- Kesari color/Saffron-1 teaspoon
- Almond flakes ,silver sugar balls & raisins for garnishing
Steps of Coconut Halwa recipe:
1.Grind grated coconutwith little water to make a smooth paste.
2.In kadhai Put coconut paste, add sugar, milk and mix well,stir on medium to slow flame till moisture evaporate.
3.Add saffron & cardamom powder . Mix well so that the halwa gets nice saffron colour.
4.Then add ghee and continue to stir till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
5.Now switch off the flame, add remaining 1 tsp of ghee and stir for about 3-4 minutes. (Ghee makes the halwa softer when it sets)
