Kurkuri bhindi recipe /Crispy okra fry recipe

A spicy deep fried okra recipe prepared with chick pea flour and other indian spices. crispy okra can be served as side dish for lunch or dinner and also can be eaten as a snack.

INGREDIENTS OF KURKURI BHINDI

  • Bhindi / okra / lady finger-10
  • Kashmiri chilli powder-½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder -¼ tsp
  • Coriander powder- ¼ tsp
  • Cumin powder -¼ tsp
  • Amchur powder / dry mango powder -½ tsp
  • A pinch of hing / asafetida
  • Salt to taste
  • Besan / gram flour -2 tbsp
  • Rice flour- 1 tbsp
  • oil for deep frying

    Preparation

Steps of Kurkure bhindi recipe

  1. Wash the bhindis and dry before cutting them. otherwise they will turn sticky while cutting.
    2. Cut the head, tail and slice the bhindi thin.2018-06-10-12-16-32
    3. Remove the seeds from bhindi. this prevents from bursting in oil and also avoids from turning sticky.
    4. Transfer it into a mixing bowl.
    5. Add chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, hing and salt and amchur powder.
    6. Add besan and rice flour.

8.Put the bhindi on oil.Fry till the bhindis turn crispy and golden.2018-06-10-13-40-42
9. Drain out onto the kitchen towel to remove excess oil.2018-06-10-13-49-13
Serve hot with rice.
