Aloo Raita Recipe / Potato Raita

    Aloo Raita recipe is a simple and easy-to-make North Indian side dish.Main ingredients used in this raita recipe are potatoes and curd. While potatoes are loaded with carbohydrates and starch, curd is a rich source of calcium.

INGREDIENTS OF ALOO RAITA

  • Thick Curd – 1 cup
  • Aloo – 2 small Boiled,small cube cut
  • Roasted Jeera Powder – 1/4 tsp(optional)
  • Onion-1chopped
  • Tomato-1 chopped
  • Coconut-1/4 cup,grated
  • Green chili-3 chopped
  • Salt – to taste
    (you also add chili powder,chat masala-for more flavor)

Preparation

Steps of Aloo Raita recipe:

1.Pressure cook potatos for 3-4 whistles until soft but not too mushy.You should be able to cut into cubes thats the correct stage.Set it aside.

2.Take curd in a bowl.Whisk it well.

3.In a mixing bowl take all ingredients and mix properly.


4.Garnish with pomegranate seed /coriander leaves.

Serve with pulao / biriyani.
